Community Retreat

FROM ANXIETY TO PEACE RETREAT:  Fr. Laurence Freeman OSB, Spiritual Director of the World Community of Christian Meditation (WCCM) and recipient of the Order of Canada for interfaith dialogue, will lead the Canadian Christian Meditation National Conference Retreat From Anxiety to Peace at the University of British Columbia, Vancouver from July 5-7, 2024. Fr. Laurence is a monk of the Benedictine Congregation of Monte Oliveto Maggiore. Participants can attend in person or online.

Patrons of the WCCM are Cardinal Walter Kasper, Cardinal Vincent Nichols, Cardinal John Tong Hon, Cardinal Sean Brady and Vatican Foreign Minister Archbishop Paul Gallagher.

The Canadian Christian Meditation National Conference is held every two years in a different Canadian location and draws Christian contemplatives from across Canada. Fr. Laurence led the CCMC National Conference at Saint Paul’s University in Ottawa in 2022.
